Congressional candidate Carolyn Long will host a town hall in Kalama on Friday evening.
The event will start at 6 p.m. in the Community Building at 216 Elm Street.
Long is running as a Democrat to represent the 3rd Congressional District. She is competing against two other Democrats and two Republicans, including four-term incumbent U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground.
The winners of Washington’s top-two primary system will face off in the November midterm elections.
Long, a political science professor, has taught at Washington State University Vancouver for the past 22 years. The town hall will be her 15th such event in Southwest Washington in four months.
